Shipment of desiccated coconut in February at 11,976 MT turned in USD26.333 million. There were 38 outlets during the month, half of which took in volume above 100 MT and collectively accounted for 92.9% of total delivery and the remaining half, below 100 MT contributed 7.1%.
The US remained market leader with purchases at 3,760 MT comprising 31.4% of total trade, followed by Netherlands at 1,446 MT (12.1%). The next six buyers together made up 29.7%: United Kingdom 696 MT, Thailand 667 MT, Canada 572 MT, Germany 561 MT, China 554 MT, Turkey 504 MT. On the other hand, 11 other countries took in volume ranging 110-481 MT and jointly represented 19.7%. This included Australia, Russia, France, Argentina, Brazil, South Korea, New Zealand, Belgium, Japan, Malaysia, Sweden.
Additionally, countries with purchases below 100 MT (2-99 MT range) together shared 7.1% or 857 MT to total sales. This comprised of Egypt, Israel, Ecuador, United Arab Emirates, Chile, Taiwan, Spain, South Africa, Indonesia, Colombia, Ireland, Uruguay, Italy, Panama, Poland, Croatia, Lithuania, Switzerland, Saudi Arabia.

External trade of desiccated coconut in January which amounted to 10,523 MT was worth USD22.583 million. The product was distributed to 42 various destinations, half of which took in volume above 100 MT and responsible for 92.8% of total trade and the other half, under 100 MT with market share of 7.2%.
The US continued a market leader with purchases at 2,748 MT accounting for 26.1%, followed by Netherlands at 1,281 MT (12.2%), Australia 717 MT (6.8%), Russia 662 MT (6.3%). The next five big buyers collectively shared 18.8%: Germany 469 MT, Thailand 427 MT, Canada 407 MT, France 363 MT, United Kingdom 308 MT.
On the other hand, a dozen other countries with orders ranging 104-277 MT together comprised 22.7% of the market, equivalent to 2,387 MT. This included Israel, Turkey, Malaysia, Egypt, Spain, China, Belgium, Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, New Zealand, Chile. Moreover, the 21 other countries that took in volume lower than 100 MT (1-83 MT range) jointly contributed 7.2% or 753 MT to total sales. Foreign trade of desiccated coconut in December totaled 9,673 MT and turned in USD20.271 million in foreign exchange. The United States remained a principal importer, topping 37 others in the league, with purchases during the month at 2,318 MT (24.0%), tracked by Netherlands at 1,199 MT (12.4%). The next three large buyers jointly accounted for 19.7%: China 680 MT, Australia 676 MT, Turkey 544 MT.
Completing the top 10 desiccated coconut country buyers were Russia 452 MT, Thailand 431 MT, Israel 417 MT, Canada 398 MT, and Germany 394 MT, which collectively comprised 21.6% of the market. On the other hand, seven countries with orders ranging 102-275 MT together shared 14.3%, namely United Kingdom, Taiwan, Indonesia, France, Malaysia, Japan United Arab Emirates.
Smaller volumes lower than 100 MT (3-83 MT) were delivered to 21 other countries whose combined market share was 8.0%. This comprised of the following: South Korea, Puerto Rico, Hong Kong, Spain, Egypt, Argentina, Brazil, New Zealand, Chile, Sweden, Mexico, South Africa, Ireland, Belgium, Uruguay, Colombia, Czech Republic, Lithuania, Switzerland, Poland, Vietnam.
