UCAP 19TH ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT RESULTS

This year’s event was well attended with 52 golfers showing up despite the bad weather night before the tournament brought about by tropical storm Salome.  The city of Lipa, where Summit Point Golf & Country Club, venue of the tournament is located, was under the storm’s path. Fortunately, on tournament day, we had an excellent golfing weather.  This year’s event also saw a good number of lady golfers, five in all, participating.

Declared Overall Champions were: Nemie Pagtakhan, Stolt Nielsen Phils., (Low Gross) and Terry Capistrano, TMS Lines, (Low Net).  Winners for each class were as follows:  Class A - Hector Briñas, Index, Inc., Champion; Jun Pacheco, Macro Ocean, 1st Runner up; Jay Valdez, International Container Terminal Services, Inc., 2nd Runner up.  Class B - Randall Ty, Yusen Logistics, Champion; Earl Stambush, Bermant Trade Services, 1st Runner up; Nelson Mendoza, Eagle Express, 2nd Runner up.  Class C - John Anthony Coching, Mercury Freight, Champion; Jayvee Villagracia, Index, Inc.,1st Runner up; Rupert Sison, Atiko, 2nd Runner up.  Class D - Andrei Jugo, CBPI, Champion; Myrna Enriquez, Empress M, 1st Runner up; Julie Vargas, Yusen Logistics, 2nd Runner up.

Special awards/fun hole winners were: Nemie Pagtakhan, for Most Number of Birdies; Hector Briñas, for Most Number of Pars as well as for Most Accurate Drive; Doods De Vera, Yusen Logistics, for Longest Drive; and Steve Albano, Raco Commodities, for Nearest to the Pin.
