UCAP Launches World Coconut Congress at Cocohouse

The UCAP Cocohouse Chinese New Year luncheon held last Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at the Summer Palace Restaurant, EDSA Shangri-La Hotel, Mandaluyong City, was well-attended event.  Yee Sang was introduced to UCAP members 11years ago by Mr. Enrique J. Uy, president of EU Sons Trading, who has been sponsoring the sumptuous lunch in the same venue since then.  It was in this auspicious Chinese New Year gathering of UCAP members that the 1st World Coconut Congress (WCC) conference & exhibition was launched by the UCAP Chairman, Dean A. Lao, Jr.  

With the theme “The Time is Now”, WCC will be the highlight of this year’s 32nd National Coconut Week celebration taking place on August 14-16, 2018 at  SMX Convention Center Manila, Seashell Lane, Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City, Philippines. The conference will discuss timely issues and create linkages with over 500 local and international stakeholders to help further the industry’s progress throughout the world.  It will feature prominent speakers on topics such as export and free trade agreements, health and wellness, integrated coconut processing, coconut supply and demand, trade certifications, and the latest trends and product innovations, among others.  It will also showcase company products and services to the captive market of decision-makers from the industry at the trade exhibition, as well as provide networking opportunities, and trade potentials via the business matching event.
