Destinations of Coconut Oil Export in November

Export of coconut oil in November consisted of 89,281 MT crude coconut oil, 33,529 MT cochin (refined, bleached) oil, and 3,816 MT RBD (refined, bleached, and deodorized) oil, the combined value of which was USD114.469 million.  Europe was top destination at 65,026 MT comprising of the three oil types, followed by the US at 56,059 MT, with respective market share at 51.4% and 44.3%.  Shipment to China was 3,568 MT while to Japan was 1,450 MT.  Other destinations had fractional market shares.
Europe was market leader in crude coconut oil responsible for 64,553 MT (Netherlands 55,053, Italy 6,000, Spain 3,500).  The only other market was the US with 24,728 MT.  On the other hand, the US was almost an inclusive market for cochin oil with uptake at 30,481 MT.  Other outlets were Japan 1,450 MT, China 1,257 MT, Europe 243 MT (Netherlands), Bangladesh 69 MT, New Zealand 16 MT, Australia 13 MT.
China was primary market of RBD oil at 2,312 MT, trailed by the US at 851 MT, Europe at 230 MT (Netherlands 211, Germany 19), Pakistan 155 MT, Argentina 80 MT, Taiwan 62 MT, New Zealand 33 MT, Canada 30 MT, South Korea 25 MT, Vietnam 22 MT, Malaysia 18 MT.
