International trade of desiccated coconut in March totaled 11,846 MT valued at USD21.044 million.  The product was distributed to 42 various countries with the US still a primary outlet responsible for 3,333 MT or 28.1% of total, tracked by Netherlands at 1,568 MT (13.2%) and Turkey at 1,054 MT (8.9%).  The next five countries with market share ranging 4.4-5.6% collectively accounted for 25.6%: Germany 664 MT, Russia 662 MT, Australia 644 MT, United Kingdom 538 MT, and China 524 MT.  Seven other countries took in volume ranging 136-398 MT and together comprised 14.1% of the market: Canada, France, Israel, Brazil, South Korea, Chile, New Zealand.

Meanwhile 27 countries took in volume below 100 MT, in the range 10-97 MT, and jointly contributed 10.1%:  Thailand, Argentina, Colombia, Japan, Taiwan, South Africa, Spain, Mexico, Norway, Belgium, Kenya, Sweden, Guatemala, Singapore, Kuwait, Uruguay, Ireland, Italy, Malaysia, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, El Salvador, Puerto Rico, Poland, Egypt, Indonesia.

Desiccated coconut shipment in February at 10,688 MT reported turnover of USD19.205 million.  The US remained a principal market with purchases of 2,751 MT (25.7%), tracked by Germany with1,246 MT (11.7%) and five countries with market shares ranging 5.3-8.1%  for a combined participation of 32.8% namely, Germany 866 MT, Turkey 736 MT, United Kingdom 727 MT, Australia 612 MT and Russia 568 MT.  

Almost a dozen countries with uptake ranging 113-442 MT jointly accounted for 22.8% namely, Brazil, France, China, Belgium, Israel, Canada, South Korea, Japan, Argentina, New Zealand, Spain.  Smaller volumes were ordered by 21 other countries ranging 150 kilograms-85 MT and together represented 7% of the market.  This included the following: Sweden, South Africa, Thailand, Kenya, Chile, Poland, Colombia, Vietnam, Italy, Malaysia, Jordan, Peru, Portugal, Hong Kong, Estonia, Egypt, Mexico, Finland, Taiwan, Denmark, United Arab Emirates.

External trade of desiccated coconut in January at 9,912 MT was valued USD18.811 million.  There were 41 importing countries reported, almost half of which took in volume above 100 MT.  The US maintained its position at the top with purchases of 2,747 MT during the month (27.7%), trailed by Netherlands with 1,902 MT (19.2%).  The next seven major buying countries collectively accounted for 26.9% namely Turkey 477 MT, Australia 459 MT, Brazil 426 MT, Germany 362 MT, Israel 325 MT, Canada 321 MT, Japan 301 MT.
Eleven countries held volume ranging 106-277 MT for a total of 1,961 MT and jointly shared 19.8%: United Kingdom, China, South Korea, Russia, Belgium, Spain, France, South Africa, Taiwan, New Zealand, Malaysia; while 21 others took in much smaller volume ranging 100 grams-79 MT for a total of 633 MT.  The latter group was responsible for 6.4% and consisted of: Argentina, Chile, Thailand, Czech Republic, Sweden, Guatemala, Ireland, Uruguay, Italy, Colombia, Paraguay, Hong Kong, Ecuador, Saudi Arabia, Honduras, Serbia, Costa Rica, Indonesia, Finland, United Arab Emirates, Singapore.
