Destinations of Coconut Oil Export in October

PSA data also show export of coconut oil in October consisted of 68,473 MT crude coconut oil, 27,924 MT of cochin (refined, bleached) oil, and 4,361 MT RBD (refined, bleached and deodorized) oil, the combined value of which was USD68.193 million.  The US was market leader this month with uptake of the three oil types at 38,341 MT  (38.1%), very closely followed by Europe at 38,334 MT (38.0%), then Malaysia 18,002 MT (17.9%), China 3,264 MT (3.2%) and Japan 2,520 MT (2.5%). Other countries took in very limited volumes. 
Europe maintained leadership in crude coconut oil with delivery of 37,971 MT (Netherlands 27,511, Spain 10,460), trailed by Malaysia with 18,001 MT, and the US with 12,501 MT.  On the other hand, the US was top destination for cochin oil at 25,300 MT, followed by Japan at 2,520 MT and China at 104 MT.  
RBD oil had nearly a dozen buyers led by China at 3,160 MT tracked by the US with 540 MT, Europe 363 MT (Netherlands), Taiwan 112 MT, Argentina 95 MT, Canada 31 MT, Vietnam 22 MT, South Africa 19 MT, Ecuador 17 MT, Singapore 3 MT, Malaysia 1 MT.
