UCAP 21st Annual Golf Tournament Results

The tournament held last Wednesday, February 26 at the Ayala Greenfield Golf & Leisure Club in Brgy. Puting Lupa, Calamba City, Laguna attracted 48 golfers from the coconut industry and companies that provide ancillary services to the industry. Declared Overall Champions were: Nemy Pagtakhan, Stolt Nielsen  (Low Gross), and Lindsey Salilig, CMR Philippine (Low Net).  

Winners for each class were as follows:  CLASS A - Champion, Rupert Sison, Atiko; 1st Runner up, Andoy Perez, Yusen Logistics; 2nd Runner up, Herbert Leonen, Yusen Logistics.  CLASS B - Champion, Leo Tagle, Yusen Logistics; 1st Runner up, Joel Libo-on, UCPB Gen. Insurance; 2nd Runner up, Benjie Bathan, Yusen Logistics.  CLASS C - Champion, Matthew Factor, Expeditors Manila; 1st Runner up, Joselito Bantayan, UCPB Gen. Insurance; 2nd Runner up, JR Carmona, National Distributors Inc.  Special awards/fun hole winners were: Hector Briñas, for Most Number of Birdies; Nemy Pagtakhan, for Most Number of Pars; Lindsey Saliling, for Most Accurate Drive (30 inches); Darwin Averion for Longest Drive (272 yards) and Joel Ilagan for Nearest to the Pin (18 inches).     

The tournament was sponsored by: GOLD - Chemrez Technologies, Inc. and Hudson Tank Terminals Corp.; SILVER - Franklin Baker Co. of the Phils. and Peter Paul Philippines.  Tournament donors were: Tantuco Enterprises, Bermant Trade Services, JNJ Oil Industries Inc., Primex Coco Products, Marca Leon (Limketkai Manufacturing Corp.) and PACMA (Philippine Activated Carbon Manufacturers Association). Apart from Chemrez Technologies and Marca Leon, the following companies provided various company products for the golfers’ loot bags:  Baguio Oil (International Oil Factory), Minola (San Pablo Manufacturing Corp.), Century Pacific Agricultural Ventures Inc., and Prosource International.
