Outbound load of coco shell charcoal in August was below 1,000 MT, the lowest so far since 2011, at 854 MT worth USD334,923. This was delivered to China at 655 MT (76.7%) and Japan at 199 MT (23.3%).  
Export of activated carbon in the same month was 6,499 MT with proceeds amounting to USD10.419 million.  Key markets were the US with 1,030 MT (15.9%), Germany 993 MT (15.3%) and Japan 809 MT (12.4%).  Trailing behind were countries with purchases ranging 100-576 MT such as South Korea, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Russia, China, Taiwan, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Canada, and Finland, which collectively took up 47.8% of the pack.
On the other hand, 13 countries took in volume below 100 MT (10-97 MT range) and accounted for 8.6%.  This included France, Peru, Belgium, Ghana, South Africa, Ivory Coast, Malaysia, Sweden, Spain, United Kingdom, Romania, Chile, and Singapore.
