Destinations of Coconut Oil Export in November 2020

Export of coconut oil in November which totaled 63,150 MT valued at USD69.033 million consisted of 37,615 MT crude coconut oil, 7,823 MT cochin (refined, bleached) coconut oil, and 17,712 MT RBD (refined, bleached, deodorized) coconut oil.
Europe remained market leader in coconut oil during the month accounting for 45.4% of total export with combined uptake of the three oil types at 28,659 MT. The United States followed with 18,140 MT (28.7%), Malaysia 6,955 MT (11.0%), China 3,919 MT (6.2%), Japan 2,729 (4.3%), and Sri Lanka 1,400 (2.2%) rounding up the top six.
Europe likewise continued to top in crude coconut oil trade with purchases of 27,600 MT (Netherlands 21,599, Spain 4,000, Italy 2,001), trailed by Malaysia 6,002 MT, the United States 3,000 MT, Sri Lanka 603 MT, India 110 MT. The United States was primary buyer of cochin oil at 5,141 MT, followed by Japan 2,666 MT and Mexico 16 MT.
The United States likewise led in RBD coconut oil with lifting during the month at 9,999 MT, tracked by China at 3,919 MT, Europe 1,059 MT (Netherlands 737, Belgium 240, United Kingdom 62, Germany 19, Slovakia 1), Malaysia 953 MT, Sri Lanka 797 MT, Singapore 404 MT, South Africa 202 MT. Limited loads were shipped to Ecuador 87 MT, Taiwan 75 MT, Japan 63 MT, Argentina 50 MT, Pakistan 40 MT, Turkey 20 MT, Brazil 19 MT, Vietnam 17 MT, New Zealand 8 MT.
