Destinations of Coconut Oil Export in April
Thursday, July 15, 2021Export of coconut oil was made up of 41,847 MT crude coconut oil, 11,670 MT cochin (refined, bleached) oil, and 5,038 MT RBD (refined, bleached and deodorized) oil, the combined revenue of which was USD86.150 million. Europe and the US remained primary markets jointly comprising 86.7% of total. Europe alone held 61.8% of total trade with 32,206 MT bulk of which was crude coconut oil, while the US accounted for 24.9% with 14,568 MT of which cochin oil was top import. Following behind were Japan with 3,919 MT, China with 1,981 MT and 14 others with orders ranging 8-398 MT, most of which was RBD oil.
Europe remained leading destination for crude oil at 35,603 MT (Netherlands 31,603, Spain 4,000), trailed by the US at 6,000 MT and Thailand at 244 MT. The US was still principal outlet for cochin oil at 7,805 MT along with Japan at 3,865 MT.
For RBD oil, China led the pack with 1,981 MT, followed by the US with 764 MT, Europe 603 MT (Netherlands 374, Belgium 185, Poland 44), Sri Lanka 398 MT, Canada 216 MT, Pakistan 200 MT, United Arab Emirates 193 MT, Malaysia 153 MT, Singapore 114 MT, Taiwan 104 MT, Bangladesh 100 MT, Japan 54 MT, Ecuador 49 MT, Turkey 41 MT, Australia 34 MT, Vietnam 26 MT, New Zealand 8 MT.
