Thursday, November 24, 2022Export of copra meal at 34,263 MT in August earned USD7.211 million, an improvement by 20.5% from last year at USD5.984 million, exclusively volume driven. South Korea was market leader at 12,833 MT (37.5%), trailed by India at 10,200 MT (29.8%), and China at 9,900 MT (28.9%). Smaller loads went to Taiwan at 982 MT and Vietnam 348 MT.

Thursday, October 27, 2022Copra meal has Asia as its market. Export in July at 48,613 MT went mainly to South Korea at 27,722 MT and China at 15,772 MT for respective market share of 57.0% and 32.4%. Other destinations were India at 4,700 MT (9.7%) and Taiwan 418 MT (0.9%).

Thursday, September 29, 2022Export of copra meal in June at 13,976 MT turned in USD3.598 million and were exclusively delivered to Asian countries led by South Korea which captured 7,266 MT or 52.0% of total trade. China closely followed cornering 42.9% at 6,000 MT. Other destinations were Taiwan 453 MT, Vietnam 231 MT, and Japan 27 MT.
