Desiccated coconut had the greatest number of export outlets among the coconut products.  Shipment in July at 10,737 MT was distributed to 40 countries worldwide led by the US which took in 3,252 MT representing close to one-third of total trade or 30.3%.  The Netherlands followed with 1,722 MT or 16.0%.  The next five country buyers collectively accounted for 25% of total sales namely, Canada 696 MT, Germany 552 MT, China 514 MT, Australia 508 MT, Japan 419 MT.  

A dozen other countries held volume ranging 100-352 MT and jointly contributed 21.7%.  This included Turkey, United Kingdom, Russia, Brazil, Malaysia, Belgium, France, South Korea, Israel, Colombia, Croatia, Indonesia. On the other hand, volume lower than 100 MT in the range 5-91 MT went to 21 countries which together shared 6.9%.  These comprised of Ecuador, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, Thailand, Taiwan, Uruguay, New Zealand, Chile, Sweden, Lithuania, Mexico, Poland, Peru, Estonia, South Africa, Slovak Republic, Argentina, Spain, Switzerland, Vietnam, Singapore.
