Coconut Water: 2023 PH Second Major Non-Traditional Coco Product Export

Coconut water turned in USD67.453 million in export receipts in 2023 to become the top 2 major non-traditional coconut product export earner for the year, following virgin coconut oil.  Total volume sold was 75,646 MT.

The USA was leading importer cornering nearly two-thirds (65.9%) of total volume or 49,859 MT, trailed by United Kingdom which was responsible for 14.9% or 11,241 MT.  The third biggest market was Canada at 3,696 MT (4.9%), next was Netherlands at 3,441 MT (4.5%), then Australia at 2,095 MT (2.8%) and rounding up the top six markets was China at 1,772 MT (2.3%).  Collectively, the group accounted for 95.3% of total exports.

The next set of importing countries jointly comprised 4.0% of the market: Hong Kong 777 MT, Singapore 526 MT, France 517 MT, South Korea 242 MT, Taiwan 236 MT, United Arab Emirates 228 MT, Japan 176 MT, Spain 160 MT, and New Zealand 157 MT. 

Much smaller loads ranging 0.3-65 MT were delivered to 17 other countries.  This group comprised of  Pakistan, Oman, Thailand, Brazil, Qatar, Kuwait, Germany, Malaysia, Israel, Norway, Macau, Italy, Sweden,  Argentina, Jordan, Guam, and Saudi Arabia,
