Thursday, February 20, 2025Overseas purchases of copra meal which totaled 34,393 MT in October generated USD4.347 million (USD3.164 million). China was the principal buyer responsible for more than two-thirds of total (68.3%) or 23,500 MT. Other major buyers were South Korea at 6,324 MT (18.4%) and Vietnam at 3,521 MT (10.2%). The remaining 3.0% went to Taiwan at 683 MT, Japan at 251 MT and India at 114 MT.

Thursday, January 16, 2025Overseas purchases of copra meal in September at 21,070 MT turned in USD3.014 million, down 51.7% from the prior year receipts. The key markets bought nearly equal volume: India at 7,050 MT (33.5%), China 7,000 MT (33.2%) and South Korea at 6,600 MT (31.3%). Limited loads went to Taiwan at 345 MT and Japan at 75 MT.
