Philippine Exporters Want More Participation in Expositions, Support for Raw Materials: Agriculture Department

Philippine exporters of various products have expressed desire to participate in more products expositions and production support for raw materials, the Department of Agriculture (DA) said on March 12. This came as the Philippines joined the 50th International Food and Beverage Exposition, FOODEX Japan 2025, which runs on March 10-14.  

The exposition was participated by more than 80,000 exhibitors and over 4 million buyers around the world. There were 28 exhibitors from the Philippines which featured products such as coconut, coconut by-products, banana, pineapple, hass avocado, among others.  

In response to the request, DA spokesperson Assistant Secretary Arnel de Mesa assured support to the Filipino exporters, adding the agency will continue to review regulations to streamline procedures for exporters, improve the ease of doing business or have a single window for processing, and ensure the increase in production of raw materials.
