Destinations of Coconut Oil Exports in April
Friday, October 3, 2025Exports of coconut oil consisted of 73,183 MT crude coconut oil, 11,600 MT cochin (refined, bleached) oil, and 25,415 MT RBD (refined, bleached and deodorized or fully refined) oil. The export mix turned in USD236.428 million, up by 35.1% from prior year despite sharply reduced lifting as border price at USD2,145/MT nearly doubled (+96.4%).
The top four destinations during the month were Europe at 56,923 MT or 57.7% of the mix, trailed by the USA at 44,682 MT (40.5%), China at 5,766 MT (5.2%), and Japan at 1,600 MT (1.5%). Export to Europe was mainly crude coconut oil at 56,643 MT (Netherlands 45,100, Italy 7,500, Spain 4,000, Poland 43). The USA was responsible for 16,000 MT, with Malaysia and Sri Lanka sharing 426 MT and 114 MT, respectively.
Shipment of cochin oil went largely to the USA at 10,000 MT with Japan taking in the remaining 1,600 MT. On the other hand, a dozen outlets were noted for RBD coconut oil led by the USA at 18,682 MT, trailed by China at 5,766 MT, Sril Lanka at 282 MT, Europe 280 MT (Netherlands 138, Slovenia 102, Belgium 20, Italy 19). Following Europe were Canada at 152 MT, Singapore 120 MT, Taiwan 78 MT, Vietnam 26 MT, South Africa 19 MT, Thailand and Malaysia at 4 MT apiece, and United Arab Emirates 3 MT.
